Personalpronomen – Nominativ (Personal pronouns – Nominative) / Kata ganti Orang

Was sind Pronomen? (What are pronouns? / Apa itu kata ganti orang?)

·         Personal pronouns replace the nouns in a sentences.

·         They make the sentence shorter and avoid the repetition of noun.

·         The Pronoun should match the gender of the noun being repleaced.

Personalpronomen

First person          (yourself)

Second Person       (to someone)

Third person         (about someone else)

 

First person

Singular	Plural
ich	wir
I (saya)	We (kami)

 

Zum Beispiel :

·         Ich wohne in New York                (I live in New York).

·         Wir wohnen in New York              (We live in New York).

·         Ich heiße Maria. Ich komme aus Spanien. Ich habe ein Kind. Wir wohnen in Berlin.

(Maria is talking about herself, heres using the pronoun “ich”, as soon as she talks about herself and child, se used the first person pronoun in prulal “wir”).

 

Second person (Informal)

Singular	Plural
du	ihr
you (kamu)	You all (kalian)

 

Zum Beispiel :

·         Max, wo wohnst du?               (Max, where do you live?)

Max is a single person, hence (karenanya) we use du.

 

·         Julia und Peter, wo wohnt ihr?   (Julia und Peter, where do you live?

Here we are talking to two people, hence we use the pronoun ihr.

 

Second person (Formal)

you (kamu)	You all (kalian)

 

Zum Beispiel :

·         Herr Müller, wo wohnen Sie?                 (Mr. Müller, where do you live?)

·         Herr und Frau Müller, wo wohnen Sie?  (Mr. and Mrs. Müller, where do you live?)

 

Third person

he                she                  it	they (mereka)

maskulin       feminin        neutral

Zum Beispiel :

·         Das ist Putra. Putra Er wohnt in London.        (This is Putra. He lives in London).

·         Das ist Putri. Putri Sie wohnt in Paris.          (This is Putri. She lives in Paris).

·         Das ist mein Buch. Das Buch Es ist alt.        (This is my book. It is old).

·         Das sind Petra und Jurgen.                            (This is Petra and Jurgen).

Petra und Jurgen Sie wohnen in Hamburg      (They live in Hamburg).

*) sie with the capital of S, only at the beginning of the sentences.
